Haiti Relief

Over the past weeks, XanGo, LLC and the XanGo Goodness Foundation have stayed in close contact with our global health and disaster relief partner, AmeriCares, to determine the best way to assist the people of Haiti in recovering from the devastating earthquake of January 12th. So far, AmeriCares’ relief team in Port au Prince, Haiti has distributed over USD$10 million of medicines and supplies to dozens of hospitals and clinics.

Doctors volunteering in crowded Port Au Prince encampments report that adequate food, shelter and clean water are scarce. Children are suffering increasingly from health problems like meningitis, intestinal disorders and respiratory infections that are connected to the hot, crowded unsanitary conditions.

In view of the continued urgent need for essentials, we have determined that AmeriCares will use the donations from you, our generous XanGo Distributors, and funds from the XanGo Goodness Foundation to continue improving the situation for earthquake victims in Haiti by purchasing water purifiers, medical and other supplies. We still anticipate that a shipment of Meal Packs will be sent to Haiti in the near future and distributed to those most in need through AmeriCares’ trusted partners. However, we are waiting for AmeriCares to tell us when the time is right.
